Our meetings

We have been receiving daily complaints from citizen about the stray animals, especially dogs. The number of stray animals is drastically increased after the last war on Gaza strip in May 2021. These animals were living at the border of Gaza and escaped towards the city because of the bombardment. They are looking for food and shelter and have no intention to attack people. We are gathering the dogs in our shelter to care for them and give the needed cure according to our capacity and the available funds. At the other hand some citizens don’t’ have patience and they are trying to shoot those dogs and poisoning it as a final solution.

Therefore, we have been holding meetings with different municipalities in Gaza to help us and provide us with the necessary support in terms of catching the animals, providing spaces where we can operate, maintain, and accommodate more animals, and the most important, saving the lives of these animals.

The municipalities have provided us with the available data regarding the number of stray dogs. This will help us to setting up a plan to gather and recue those animals. Working in a rapid manner will decrease the possibility that the number of animals increase due to unorganized fatality.
