Watch with us the process of Jean’s recovery since March 24th until now, Jean the puppy used to suffer from a coma, cramps & lack of focus. We put it through therapy and retraining to enable it to walk again until it’s fully recovered.
We thank the child that contacted us about the puppy.
Two days ago we were visited by a group of internationals who work inside Gaza. They were from Belgium, Venezuela and Australia. They played with the dogs and we explained our work to them inside and outside the shelter. We are very thankful for their visit and support
Dear followers, we from Sulala want to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year! We hope that 2022 will be easier, and wish you joy and good health! Thank you so much for your continued support for our work all the best from Saeed and all the cats and dogs in the shelter.
On 29 December 2021, we went top visit the family of the two children who were bitten by their neighbour’s german shepherd. We wrote about them a while ago (rumour had spread that they were bitten by stray dogs and this had stirred up anti stray dog sentiment in the community). The first child we visited, Mu’taz Khamis Al Jorudi, is 10 years old. We brought him gifts and were welcomed by his kind family. The bite had resulted in a fear of dogs, but by talking to him and telling him about different dogs, the fear lessened significantly. We gave him a bag of dog food which he will use to feed the stray dogs around his house. We are very thankful towards Mu’taz and his kind family!
The second boy is called Ayham Salem Naji. He is five years old, and unfortunately the event has affected him greatly. He became introverted and does not want to go to school anymore. We will help him get psychological counselling to overcome his fear. We also thank this boy’s parents for the kind reception!
We were recently informed about an account on Facebook by the name of Mariam Saud stealing our photos and asking PayPal donations. She claims to be from Cairo, we are not sure if she really is, but we’ve been receiving messages for many months from people referring us to accounts that pretend to rescue animals in a Gaza while they are doing no work on the ground. Sometimes even stealing our pictures like Mariam. We have collected some screenshots of scam accounts you should be wary of.
Please be very careful when donating! And keep in mind we never tag people in our posts because we don’t want to put people on the spot. You should never feel forced to donate because people tag you, actually you should be extra wary.
We are appalled that the innocent animals pictures are stolen and money meant for these poor souls is going to a scammer. Be careful! As for any accounts claiming to rescue animals in Gaza and asking you for money, please refer them to us. If they are really doing work in the ground we can help them with food and treatment.
Dear followers, We are very proud to announce that we have finished the design of our website and it is now launched!
